The Head of Integration plays a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and seamless data exchange within the organisation. This executive is responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and management of various types of interfaces. The primary goal is to enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and ensure secure and efficient data communication across various systems and partners.

About the role

Key responsibilities and authority

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive integration strategy aligned with the organization's goals, focusing on scalability and agility.

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of APIs that enable data sharing, integration, and automation. Ensure API security, performance, and compliance.

  • Oversee the management of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes, including mapping, translation, and partner onboarding. Ensure EDI compliance with industry standards.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external partners to identify integration opportunities, streamline processes, and drive innovation through data connectivity.

  • Manage a team of integration specialists, architects, and developers. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project execution.

  • Manage relationships with API and EDI solution providers, negotiate contracts, and assess technology partnerships to meet integration needs.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of integration initiatives. Implement continuous improvement strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and cybersecurity best practices in all integration efforts.

About you

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in large scale API and EDI Integration with a track record of successful projects.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successful team management.

  • In-depth knowledge of API management platforms, EDI protocols, and integration tools.

  • Enterprise grade solution ERP/CRM.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive innovation.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations.

Education/ Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field.

  • Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

  • Itil 4, Prince 2 or SAFe CSP Certification is a plus.

  • Managing a global team involves dealing with different time zones, cultural differences, and varied regulatory environments. These factors can lead to miscommunication, inconsistent processes, and difficulties in maintaining a unified strategy.

  • Establish clear governance, processes, and guidelines.

  • Foster a strong company culture.

  • Staying competitive requires embracing new technologies and innovation, but this must be balanced with the need for operational stability and security, especially in a large-scale IT environment.

  • Implement a multi-track approach

  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.

Travel Requirements

Position involve travel up to 10% of the time, mostly within Europe, Asia Pacific, and Americas. Most trips will include overnight travel.
