ModMed (https://www.modmed.com/company/) is hiring a driven Procurement Business Manager to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing Finance team focused on overseeing and optimizing the procurement process within the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to align procurement activities with organizational goals, and drive efficiency in the procurement function within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine!

Your Role:

Strategic Procurement Planning:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, market trends, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and incorporate them into the procurement plan.

Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on performance, cost, and reliability.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services.

  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining a balance between cost and quality.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.

  • Monitor contract performance, identify areas of improvement, and enforce contractual obligations.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with contracts.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.

  • Track and report on procurement expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and optimize the procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

  • Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall business processes.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all procurement activities.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the procurement process.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging best practices.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for team members.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and present regular reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings.

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and vendor management.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Knowledge in competitive bidding and pricing.

  • Knowledge in ERP and SaaS applications.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership and team management experience.

  • Proficient in relevant software and tools for procurement and data analysis.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are a plus.
