Express Services Inc Inventory Control Specialist in Hardeeville, South Carolina

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for assisting the Shipping and Receiving Supervisors in tracking the warehouse merchandise and ensuring accuracy in product count. There will be physical lifting of merchandise of up to 50 lbs. Will need to operate various types of Material Handling Equipment (Order/Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Turret, Stand-up/Sit-down Forklift, EPJ)

JOB DUTIES: SAFETY FIRST for all Uses Computer and RF Scanner to identify and track merchandise Sort, count and log inventory which is shipped or received. Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages via the Companys OSandD policy and notifies manager and/or purchasing personnel. Work directly with General Manager, Shipping Supervisor and/or Receiving Supervisor for daily direction and resolve any inventory discrepancies. Data entry of departmental receiving/shipping into the computer software, prepare routine reports, and file inventory records. Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and all safety regulations. Conduct physical cycle counts on merchandise and equipment as required. Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Must have at least 1-year recent warehouse inventory experience or similar job function Experience using RF Scanners Solid basic math skills Solid verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well with others in a team environment and on problem solving activities Must be able to work 8-hour shifts Standing, Walking, Bending and Lifting for long periods of time Lift up to 50 lbs. during the shift Pass background check and drug screen
