GROB Systems, Inc Service Engineer in Bluffton, Ohio

Job Description This position is responsible for the customer technical support and project coordination of equipment installations at customer sites. The position requires strong mechanical and/or electrical/controls aptitude, an in-depth knowledge of prints and schematics, and advanced skills in metal cutting technology a plus. This position may require periodic travel during machine installations (mostly domestic, some international) where you will interface with customers directly. The Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships as well as acting as a project leader for GROB technicians. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the Service Call Center and the realization of new projects
  • Coordinating service activity on equipment delivered from the GROB Group
  • Direct and assist customers on the installation, start-up and operation of equipment
  • Respond to emergency calls from customers as directed by the GROB Service office in a timely manner
  • Provide offsite team leadership at customer sites

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or relevant experience in machine tool industry
  • Understanding of drawings, schematics and troubleshooting
  • Previous CNC machining experience preferred

General Requirements

  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Willing to travel domestic and international
