The Concession Worker is responsible for maintaining an efficient concession operation, including courteous and accurate customer service, safe food handling procedures, a neat work area, consistent inventory levels and accurate cash counts. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervision of all facility areas. Enforces facility policies and procedures.

  • Greet all patrons politely and courteously.

  • Take orders and serve customers.

  • Fill out reports.

  • Operate the cash register and maintain accurate funds. Distribute correct change. Balance the cash drawer daily at the end of the shift.

  • Clean concession areas.

  • Conduct inventory and inform the Supervisor of items to order.

  • Always professionally conduct oneself.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to meet the needs of all patrons.

  • Report suspicious activities to supervisors.

  • Enforcing rules and regulations of the facility. Educating and informing patrons of the rules and regulations of the facility as necessary.

  • Provide a safe, clean, and organized environment for patrons.

  • Attend staff meetings and training as scheduled.

  • In case of an emergency, notify the appropriate agency as dictated by the emergency.

  • Communicate effectively with patrons, supervisors, and co-workers.

  • Follows protocols for opening and closing of the facility.

  • Perform other related duties as requested or assigned by the Supervisor.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Must be 15 years of age or older. All candidates must possess the certifications below, or have the ability to obtain them before beginning employment. If not already obtained certification will be provided at no cost to employees once hired.

  • Jackson County Food Handler training and certificate

  • CPR and First Aid certifications

  • Experience – Prior experience in the area of food service is preferred.

SKILLS, MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Skills – Clear communication skills required. Ability to provide supervision to assigned areas of the facility. Maintain positive relationships with members and patrons.

Mental Requirements – Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment. Communicate effectively with patrons. Ability to respond and act in an emergency situation.

Physical Requirements- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods; must be able to walk frequently; must be able to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, and use general office equipment. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
