The work of the PCO group focuses on patient-centered research, including health related quality of life, disease signs and symptoms, treatment preference, adherence and satisfaction. The group is respected globally for the quality and innovation of their applied qualitative and quantitative work. Much of their work involves Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) endpoint/instrument selection and regulatory support; COA instrument development and psychometric validation; study design, analysis and interpretation; COA quantitative analysis; utility measurement; and patient preference studies. Our PCO team is based in US (San Francisco, Boston, Gaithersburg, Raleigh), UK (London, Abingdon), France (Lyon) and Germany.

The essential job duties include:

  • Creates tools and assessments to ensure effective training of clinical outcomes assessment raters/interviewers

  • Creates and maintains a system to document COA training to ensure completeness and quality of training

  • Direct communication with client to ensure training meets the full needs of the sponsor and to promote effective working relationships

  • Assist with developing proposals for rater training/COA administration training and other business development activities

  • Performs trainings (in-person and remote) for large and small groups

  • Occasional travel necessary (<20%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education, particularly in related fields such as psychology, social work, nursing, public health, etc.

  • 2 or more years of experience in administration of clinical outcomes assessments, clinical efficacy assessments, performance outcomes measures, or comparable experience

  • Experience delivering Rater training, developing education materials.

  • 2 or more years of experience with structured/semi-structured clinical interviews or comparable experience

  • Certification in the following an advantage but not essential: PANSS, C-SSRS, MCCB, Timed Up and Go, ADCS-CGIC, IADL, SCID-5, ADAS-Cog, MMSE, MoCA, Weschler Adult/Weschler Childrens (WAIS/WISC), symptom inventory

  • Familiarity with FDA, GCP, ICH and/or other state/federal agency guidelines and best practices

  • Familiarity with IRB requirements

  • Clinical research/clinical trials experience

  • Microsoft Office suite/applications familiarity (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
