[Position Summary:]{.underline}

Maintain, diagnose, repair, calibrate and modify, as assigned, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic control systems for CNC machine tools, manufacturing processes, test equipment and other associated equipment.  Will be required to assist Manufacturing Engineering in resolving electronic, electrical, mechanical and related problems while working in a team environment.  Must actively participate in a team-based environment.

[Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):]{.underline}

  • Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, modifying and/or rebuilding a wide variety of CNC machine tools, test equipment and other associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and follow intricate and complex blueprints, schematics and instruction manuals as they apply to the hydraulic, pneumatic and electro-mechanical apparatus of CNC machine tools, test equipment and other manufacturing process equipment.
  • Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal/vendor resources to research machine issues
  • Participates actively in Crane Business Systems tools including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), problem solving, and recommending solutions to enhance and improve departmental and company-wide business activities.
  • Endorses Company and departmental policies and safety regulations and procedures including LOTO, confined space, hot works, fall protection and high works.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

[Essential Qualifications / Experience:]{.underline}

  • In-depth knowledge of both CNC (Fanuc) or PLC equipment and logic relay-controlled varequipment.
  • Familiarity with M and G code.
  • Proven success in Preventive Maintenance.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and CMMS.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
