Pay Rate: $17/hr Shift: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (flexibility required) The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in supporting all warehouse activities for VEAP's food programs. This position is integral to ensuring healthy food access for eligible and priority populations, aligning with the organization's mission and strategic priorities. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, thrive in a team environment, and demonstrate a passion for problem-solving. Key responsibilities include training and supervising volunteers in the food program, as well as supporting warehouse operations and food distribution activities. Responsibilities: Assist with all warehouse operations and food distribution activities Stock food for distribution and pack/prep food orders for participant visits and deliveries Conduct home deliveries using VEAP vehicles for those facing transportation barriers Support other program activities, including mobile food programs and non-food initiatives Ensure compliance with state and local facility codes and food safety standards Assist in intake process and serve as key contact for volunteers in the food operations area Provide backup support for other Food & Basic Needs volunteer roles as needed In addition to competitive pay, we offer a range of benefits including weekly payday via direct deposit or pay card, access to a dedicated local team for support, employee discounts, referral bonuses, and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401K options.
