Omcare Inc Software Engineer II in BLOOMINGTON, Minnesota
Utilize core technologies (Node.js, PostgresDB, AWS, Flutter, and QT Embedded); utilize systems / frameworks / libraries (embedded Linux, QT Creator, Swagger, Express js, Chai & Mocha, Firebase notification systems, Mailjet email delivery systems, GitHub Actions, and any UI/Ux tools such as Figma, Flutter, and QT Embedded Development); maintain and troubleshoot frontend and embedded systems using Flutter and QT Embedded, ensuring optimal system performance, debugging issues, and developing solutions; conduct Backend Development: develop and maintain backend logic of application using Node.js and PostgresDB in an AWS cloud environment, which includes writing and optimizing queries, developing server endpoints, and creating comprehensive tests to verify functionality; develop complex software systems based on inputs from senior software engineering and team leads, utilizing cloud computing, containerization, and Infrastructure as code; Perform Site Reliability Engineering; Analyze and conduct system health, performance, and reliability monitoring; set up alerts, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot problems to ensure services are always available and performing optimally; mentor junior Software Engineers (SE-I and SE-Inters); work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to perform code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting of software and embedded systems; contribute across most areas of code base, regularly interacting and collaborating with team members from other technology areas; perform Complex System Development contribute to development of complex software systems based on specifications and requirements; participate in hiring process, assisting in the evaluation and interviewing of potential candidates; uphold and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure delivery of high-quality and reliable software.
