General Purpose and Scope of Position: Wilbur-Ellis is dedicated to maximizing our customers' profitability by providing innovative digital and technology solutions to our growers and internal team members to make informed, data-driven decisions and help farming operations succeed. The role of the Product Manager is to guide the strategic development and execution of the customer-facing CropSights and Probe Schedule platforms. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams as the subject matter expert to create and grow user-centric digital solutions to support enhanced decisions and operational efficiency for specialty crop farming operations. The role will involve strategic planning, product development, market analysis, commercial product growth, and customer success. Key Skills and Abilities Include: A bachelor's degree or higher, in Business, Computer Science, or a relevant field of study 5+ years' experience in product management, preferably in a digital environment Understanding of Ag industry crops, technologies, and practices, including extensive plant nutrition market knowledge is a plus Proven track record in launching and managing successful digital products - ideally within agriculture Management of the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities Experience with Scrum and Agile for Enterprise methodologies is desired Identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for products Experience collaborating with software development as a business partner to implement a business and IT strategy process that aligns digital priorities with business priorities Key Personal Attributes Include: Proven leadership capability, with the ability to build relationships, mentor, and inspire cross-functional team members through influence Excellent written verbal, and presentation communication skills Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills - including experience in project planning, budgets, timelines, and delegation for products Advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve goals Ability to remain detail-oriented with a wide range of responsibilities Strong intuition in managing tradeoffs between speed and quality to drive speed to market with an MVP mindset Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: Lead product conceptualization, development, & growth to support Go To Market and Customer Success strategies Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success to define roadmaps and develop best practices and techniques for planning, execution, milestone/deliverable tracking, and key performance metrics Use customer-driven market research & analytics while monitoring industry trends to make decisions on features, opportunities, and commercialization to drive rapid growth Oversee the product lifecycle, from initial concept to end-of-life while ensuring alignment of business objectives with development Monitor new technologies and competitors to assess potential threats, partnerships, and product or service opportunities Deliver the operating budget and align resources to achieve key business priorities and objectives Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product success and inform future develop ent Engage with customers to gather feedback and incorporate it into product development - including developing feedback mechanisms that will be used to improve solutions Effectively communicate the Wilbur-Ellis digital solutions strategy and platform value propositions with internal and external stakeholders Compensation: In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 to $163,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
