HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Principal Consultant - Human Resources Strategic Projects. The consultant will provide leadership and facilitation for highly complex, strategic human resources and people projects or initiatives, which span the organization and support HealthPartners' mission and vision. In partnership with senior leaders and other sponsors, the consultant will determine and guide the overall strategic direction and implementation of highlycomplex projects. It will function as an advisor, consultant, thought leader, and driver of transformational change and will apply both proven project management methodologies and process improvement methods, and tools to improve and/or redesign operational and/or clinical processes. Required Qualifications/Skills: Master's degree in business, health care, or related field, or extensive experience in project/program management Minimum of 7+ years in health care industry and/or in a directly related field Minimum of 7+ years demonstrated project leadership experience. Management consulting experience Proven ability to lead multiple large team projects (both in size and scope) to successful completion and manage highly visible, sensitive business issues through influence, collaboration, and diplomacy. Ability to influence and interact with all levels in the organization. Demonstrated aptitude to be a self-starter with a high degree of independence and autonomy. Proven ability to live in ambiguity and mold job responsibilities as initiative or project requires. Excellent skills in complex analytic problem solving, project management, change management, conflict resolution and group process. Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with peers and colleagues at all levels of the organization including external vendors. Demonstrated leadership skills including mentoring/coaching leaders and teams. Articulate, detail oriented, and well-organized. Accountabilities: Provides leadership and expertise on the design, development, and implementation of highly complex projects and/or initiatives with strategic importance. Drives timelines and deliverables. Direct accountability for project execution. Provides expert level consulting by anticipating, identifying, planning, and directingstrategic initiatives or improving the colleague experience projects or cost improvement efforts across the organization. Leads multi-departmental and multi-employer teams that span the organization. Provides direction and works collaboratively with all levels of leaders, clinicians, and staff in achieving desired outcomes. Directly or indirectly leads a team supporting assigned project(s). Analyzes opportunities and risks at a high level and designs and determines viable and customizable approaches. Works with leaders to shape and manage project scope; keeps project on budget and utilizes resources wisely. Coordinates analysis of current state process and issues/gaps, defines future state process. Develops a comprehensive roadmap to ensure sustainable implementation. Identifies new opportunities to optimize processes and develop best practice; utilizes performance improvement methodology and best practices as appropriate. Ensures clinician/colleague engagement, clear communication and change management throughout project, and focus on building, developing, or enhancing shared culture as appropriate. Identifies, addresses, and eliminates barriers impeding the successful completion of project activities. Develops and fosters productive and professional partnerships with leaders across the organization to ensure appropriate policies, procedures, technologies, training are developed and implemented. Establishes and maintains effective communications with senior leaders, sponsors, stakeholders, team leaders, and members through presentations and written reports. Represents the organization externally (i.e., community partner organizations). Performs other duties as assigned.
