Nickelodeon Universe Barista + Foods Cashier PT - $300 Sign-On Bonus Bloomington, MN, USA Req #625 Thursday, March 28, 2024 PURPOSE: This position is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and quality coffee and food products to guests at Coaster Cafe and auxiliary food and beverage locations inside of Nickelodeon Universe. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Provide quality, accuracy and consistency when making drinks in Coaster Cafe. * Provide outstanding guest service by greeting guests courteously, serving their needs, and giving polite parting remarks. * Answer general guest questions or direct guests to resources for answers. * Ensure standards of personal hygiene, food safety and sanitation are met and maintained. * Responsible for following food safety policies and procedures per the MN Health Code * Maintain product knowledge of food items, drink items and ingredients. * Perform necessary tasks in setting up and closing at Coaster Cafe and food + beverage locations. * Utilizing suggestive selling techniques to increase sales. * Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions and discounts. * Maintain knowledge of seasonal coffees, food and beverage items. * Oversee safety and cleanliness of food prep areas and guest dining areas. * Ring and count out funds accurately and timely while following established cash handling procedures. ADDITIONAL DUTIES * Cross train and work in other departments within Attractions such as but not limited to: Retail (Retail stores), Specialty Attractions (Ropes Course, Mini Golf, Crayola), Rides (Ride Operator), Guest Services (Guest Service desk), * Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to sell merchandise to guests in Nickelodeon Universe. * Stock food and retail, items as needed. * May provide support in other work areas as needed, such as scanning tickets at a ride, sweeping and cleaning the park, and SSK Greeting * Performs other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: * Must be at least 16 years of age. * Must have outstanding guest service skills. * Must possess basic math skills. * Must have ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and some late evenings for private events PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: * Previous cash handling experience preferred. * Previous Barista, food service and guest service experience preferred * Basic knowledge of computers is preferred.
