Our Cross Flow Filtration team within the Life Sciences group is searching for an engineering or science intern to develop test methods. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of scientists/engineers to define, develop, and validate test methods. As part of this work they will perform testing, process and interpret data, and present results to expedite product and technology development. Daily responsibilities include: Collaborate with scientists and engineers to identify new test methods to be used to characterize new filtration products, including quantification of protein, DNA, RNA, and bacteria Execute analytical testing, analyze/model, and interpret data. Author reports, presentations, and standard operating procedures for newly developed test methods. Communicate analytical results with team members to guide the future direction of the project. Performs continuous improvements for workflows, methods, data storage and organization as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Current junior/3rd year enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field. Previous experience with statistical methods, using software such as Excel, MATLAB, JMP, Python or similar. Previous hands-on research or laboratory experience from prior internship/co-op, work experience or collegiate coursework. Preferred Qualifications: Excited to learn and solve problems Energetic self-starter and able to work independently Ability to multi-task and strong time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Basic understanding of biology related to cells and bacteria Experience with hypothesis driven research Minimum current cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
