Junior Graphic Designer Bloomington, MN, USA Req #591 Monday, February 19, 2024 PURPOSE: Increase awareness for Mall of America, MOA-owned entities (Nickelodeon Universe, Crayola Experience, etc), and its tenants through creative design + development. Ensure consistency across all channels to develop and protect the Mall of America brand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Work closely with Creative Director and other designers to assist with concept and design creative requests for various Mall of America campaigns and initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally (Public Relations, Social, Digital, Events, Community Relations, Sponsorship, Construction, etc) to meet creative goals, objectives and timelines. Projects may include: identity and brand development for print and digital campaigns, collateral, infographics, social media and blog graphics, digital marketing, website and UX design. Assist with brand management for Mall of America and MOA-owned entities, ensuring design consistency and brand standards are met for all Mall of America advertising and collateral and sales materials. Assist with art direction of photo and video shoots for MOA campaigns and help with image selection process. Ensure quality and preparation of final deliverables before sending to printers, ad reps, etc. May assist in requesting quotes from printers and reviewing work done by external partners. Research creative solutions to hit target demographics and keep Mall of America fresh and relevant in the eyes of the consumer. Work with Digital and IT teams on design and user experience of MOA-owned digital channels. PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: BA or BFA in Graphic Design or related Graphic Design degree with 2-3 years Graphic Design experience in agency or in-house setting. Proven track record in design - with work samples demonstrating attention to detail, a strong sense of composition, typography and color - in both print and digital mediums. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of and experience creating animation and video assets. Experience with UX design and knowledge of best practices. Effective organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects. Strong communication skills and ability to communicate design thinking and strategy. Demonstrate ability to work well with internal and external partners. Openness to receiving and interpreting design feedback. Ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints. Passion for design and keeping up to date on design trends. Knowledge of the printing process, including file set-up and paper selection.
