The Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington & The Lofton Hotel is seeking an HR Coordinator that will provide administrative, clerical and customer service support for the Human Resources offices. Responsibilities: Recruit, screen and hire high quality hourly associates Post open positions on Taleo (ATS), conduct interviews, represent the hotel at various Job Fairs and other recruiting events Verify documents for employment in the United States Complete reference checks and background checks on potential hires Prepare new hire files Schedule, organize and instruct new hire orientation classes Communicate effectively with departments, the HR Director, General Manager and Corporate Office staff within area of responsibility Answer incoming calls to the Human Resource Office and direct them accordingly Maintain the filing for all personnel, confidential, and Worker's Compensation files Monitor and maintain Room Reservation and Dining Reservation forms for associate Send out in a timely manner Birthday and Anniversary cards for associates to their homes Coordinate recognition and associate functions to include People Pleaser, Blue Energy, Hilton recognition programs, holiday events and team outings Facilitate and track all Hilton and Marcus required training Coordinate volunteer opportunities and community engagement Act as co-chair for Safety Committee and Blue Energy Committee Work on special projects as assigned Requirements: Prior experience in Human Resources, Hospitality or Customer Service fields Ability to file accurately Accuracy with numbers, budgeting experience administration Ability to work independently with high level of confidence High degree of organization and motivation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outgoing, pleasant personality and good grooming Ability to maintain confidentiality Basic knowledge of employment related issues Experience with computers Perform other duties as assigned For each position, we require a stable work history verified by a background check, a positive attitude, a willingness to be a team player, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.
