About our group: As a part of the Global Corporate Finance organization, our group's purpose is to maximize the value of the Global Research & Development team through financial analysis and planning. Ultimately, we manage the finances for some of the most innovative engineering development projects. About the role - you will: Provide support to the business partner areas as a Financial Analyst for R&D Consolidate WW R&D spending for Seagate, including preparation of executive review packages Hold responsibility for Capital Management for the Shakopee and Longmont locations, to include physical inventory, tagging of assets and approving capital requests Support compliance with SOX requirements as well as improvement of internal controls Perform monthly spending reviews and forecasts and prepare quarterly budgets Prepare and present financial information to support effective organizational decision making About you: Motivated and a self-starter Enthusiasm to learn in a fast-paced environment Accomplished written and verbal communications with various professional levels Analytical prowess, strategic thinker and attention to detail High standards and accuracy rate with ability to work under tight deadlines Solid organizational and follow-up skills Proficient in being confidential Good business acumen Your experience includes: Forecasting and planning utilizing financial models Financial reporting and decision support Budgeting and expense planning Spending analysis Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge Strong analytical and data gathering skills Proven fluency with Excel formulas and functions Exposure and/or experience using Tableau Location: Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe - it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well.
