Custodian I (Part-Time) 2nd Shift - $1,500 Sign On Bonus! Bloomington, MN, USA Req #605 Monday, March 4, 2024 PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the performance of variety of routine, physical tasks in order to maintain the cleanliness of the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Clean restrooms including sinks, toilets, mirrors, walls, floors and assist with stocking of supplies. Wash walls, pillars, and clean entrance and common area glass. Clean seating areas, escalators, railings, telephone carousels and drinking fountains. Clean elevators involving cleaning an enclosed space. Responsible for organizing and transporting a cleaning supply cart. Patrol common areas during mall hours, clean spills, pick up litter, remove stickers and gum. Provide directions and assistance when guests ask. Vacuum carpeted areas. Sweep and wet mop common area floors, service corridors, and stairwells. Empty ashtrays and trash containers, remove waste and recyclables. Bring trays back to food court tenants. Complete logs documenting equipment use. Ensure the overall safety and cleanliness of the work area and surrounding areas. Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: May clean high glass and fixtures requiring use of ladders and/or scaffolding. Ride along with guests who are unable to ride the amusement rides along. Assist with snow removal when necessary. Assist with set up and take down of events. Pulled to another area/department (if cross trained). For example, if a Housekeeper is trained on a ride and Rides is short staffed or being a Greeter at the Self Service Kiosk's. Perform other job duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 16 years of age. Ability to work variable and /or rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to understand simple verbal and/or written instructions. PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Working knowledge of the safe handling of equipment and materials used in custodial duties preferred. Ability to perform some or all the physical tasks including lifting, scrubbing, sweeping, mopping and other custodial duties.
