Braun Intertec Construction Materials Lab Technician (entry-level) in Bloomington, Minnesota

Braun Intertec is seeking interested candidates to join our Bloomington, MN office for a position as an entry-level Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician. No experience required. We will train you. The chosen candidate will receive in-depth technical training. As a lab technician, you will have the chance to get hands-on experience in a variety of different laboratory test procedures involving concrete and soils. The primary responsibility of the position is to support the concrete testing department by processing cylinders. Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process concrete cylinders
  • Use of machinery to process samples including concrete saw use

* Respirator will be worn so medical monitoring will be required

  • Proctor testing when time permits
  • Maintain equipment on an as needed basis
  • Support different departments of the lab as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education that focused on construction materials testing or civil engineering technology
  • Related work experience in materials testing or construction is a plus
  • ACI strength testing technician certification is a plus
  • MnDOT aggregate production and grading and base certifications are a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision after receiving direction

All candidates must have:

  • A safety-first attitude
  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • The ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
  • A demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
