We are hiring an Accounting Supervisor in either Marshall, MN or Bloomington, MN. You will be responsible for the management of general accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting balance sheets, operating profits, cash flow and other financial results. This role requires an understanding of accounting principles and the ability to effectively supervise a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates monthly financial close which includes completing accounting accruals, analyzing income and expense related accounts, preparing financial statements, schedules and reports

  • Oversees the preparation of financial reports in a timely and accurate manner and completes individual analytical projects given abstract project guidelines

  • Serves as liaison to other business areas and the corporate accounting team with respect to month end close, best practices, and inter-company transactions

  • Assists with annual audit and KSOX compliance

  • Prepares and analyzes management reports including balance sheet, income statements and cash flow statement

  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of the journal entries and account classifications

  • May complete more complex projects associated with driving business results.

  • Assists with reviewing and updating accounting policies and procedures

  • Interprets and applies generally accepted accounting principles

  • Supervises, trains and develops a team of finance/accounting professionals.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information effectively.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a team

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
