Universal Health Services THERAPIST (MA/MSW) in BLOOMINGTON, Indiana

Responsibilities

The Outpatient Therapist is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Major job functions include: obtaining psycho-social assessments; conducting family/group therapy on assigned cases; complete documentation per Meadows policy and procedure; case coordination; coordinate inpatient referrals ; assist in developing and maintaining community resource information; performs marketing functions as assigned; assists in the maintenance of the program environment in compliance with policies of safety and security; ensures good clinical judgment to ensure optimum patient care; participate in continuing education activities. All above task shall be delivered in an age specific manner to all age groups.

Ensures timely completion and documentation of outpatient utilization review. Assists with clinical chart audits and staff education associated with quality improvements. Exempt level position.

Qualifications

Education : Masters degree in mental health or related field.

Experience : One to two years of program management experience required, Four to five years’ experience working with adults and adolescents with substance abuse and mental health or co-occurring disorders, Outpatient experience preferred.

Licensure : Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor eligible.

Additional Requirements: Demonstrated leadership ability, strong organizational skills, and skills in writing and in working with statistical data. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, and the ability to delegate appropriately. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accrediting standards preferred. CPR certification and HANDLE WITH CARE training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
