See what it's like to work at GROWMARK: https://youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* * Provides leadership of the Graphic Design team in the creation of professional, influential graphic design for a wide variety of digital and printed media to help execute Enterprise Marketing strategies. Serves as the design team project manager and liaison among the Enterprise Marketing team to ensure continuous communication occurs for design activities. Assures that the GROWMARK & FS System’s marketing thrust is creative, focused, branded, effective, and coordinated across all divisions. * SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP* * Supervises, leads, and develops the graphic design team in design projects including web pages and digital media content, campaign materials for multiple mediums, proprietary logos and trademarks, brand platforms, displays, branding on company facilities and equipment, and creation of branding guidelines. * Provides leadership to FS & GROWMARK marketing and communication teams on correct use of brands, trademarks, and rights-managed images. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* * Manages workflow through software tools (such as Monday.com) of design projects through Enterprise Marketing to assure appropriate creative strategies, adequacy/accuracy of input, schedules, SLA’s, budgets, production support, reviews, approvals and production timelines. * Designs and develops finished materials for a wide variety of digital and printed projects including publications, banners, signs, displays, logos, brochures, websites, ads, meeting and sales support materials. Understands the design requirements unique to digital publications and variable data printing projects. * Administrator for Digital Asset Management (DAM) such as Bynder platform. Directs organization of all digital assets for preservation and reuse. Collaborates with Enterprise Marketing leadership and leads development and maintenance of taxonomies and metadata for all digital assets. * Maintain standardized metadata for all digital assets within the DAM platform for consistency across all brands and product lines. Manages, negotiates, documents, and adheres to rights management requirements and maintain digital assets (photography, product scans, option images, illustrations, etc.) for brands, campaigns and projects. * Works with Design lead and others within Enterprise Marketing in development and execution of DAM platform training of approved users including overall permission administration. * Participates in content marketing planning meetings with Enterprise Marketing team to ensure creative continuity with brands and campaigns, and that all digital assets are entered in DAM system. * Oversees the acquisition, cataloging, and use of acquired images in published works. Ensures images accurately represent trademarks, brands, campaigns and safety practices. * OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* * Responsible to stay actively engaged and build overall personal awareness on current and emerging trends, best practices and other relevant information related to enterprise marketing with an emphasis on digital. * In collaboration with leadership, proactively researches both industry and competitors marketing approach both at enterprise and regional level for awareness and overall effectiveness. * Assist in planning, participating in, and assisting in directing photo shoots including the review of portfolios, negotiates fees and usage rights, coordinates shots lists and procures models/props, and schedules equipment/personnel. * Confidently and concisely build recommendations and present to all levels of leadership. Ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information internally and externally teams. * Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team. * Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. * Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* * Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent training to demonstrate graphic design knowledge and skills. 5-7 + years professional experience preferred. * Outstanding portfolio of graphic design work and an overall understanding of brand strategy. * Strong command of digital graphic design software (including Adobe Creative Cloud programs: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Experience in After Effects preferred.) * Advanced typographic skills, including font pairings and modern text styling. Advanced layout and composition skills. * Excellent project management skills. With the ability to oversee multiple projects with multiple parts, with long and short deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and quality control. * Experience in digital asset management systems, taxonomy and metadata. * Proven supervisory and leadership skills including staffing, orientation, coaching, performance evaluations, training, and the ability to achieve results through others. * Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills as well as computer skills to enhance business processes. * Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport. * May be required to work beyond what are considered normal business hours.
