The Cigna Group Business Process Engineer - Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions - Hybrid in Bloomfield, Connecticut

The Business Process Engineer role will drive Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions process initiatives, process improvements, and methodology alignments, all of which are critical to support business decisions. This is a strategic position that couples strong analytics with overarching business process engineering skills, working with cross-functional teams. Success in this role will require strong leadership skills and an ability to influence a diverse set of matrix partners towards achieving strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • This position will be responsible for managing process engineering, modeling & improvement initiatives within Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions Operations with direct responsibility for quality outcomes

  • Work with operational/functional leaders to identify performance gaps, prioritize opportunities, facilitate the change and manage improvement roadmap for functional area

  • The role will manage multiple complex projects entailing process modeling from start to finish, conducting interviews to establish current state processes, investigate and identify root causes of process performance drivers; correct or develop and document new processes to achieve improved performance

  • Facilitate cross-functional process improvement and act as a change agent and ensure process improvement activity is being communicated, understood, and supported within the organization

  • Establish and maintain consistent processes, liaising with Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions business and technology partners

  • Analyze existing business processes against new proposed solutions/initiatives and provide assessments and insights on impact

  • Partner with Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions leaders to support process impacts for emerging programs and provide insights and recommendations for improvement

  • Collaborate with teams to further consistency and enact change across enterprise, including tools, people, and processes

Qualifications

  • Healthcare/Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions domain experience /knowledge a must

  • End to End Process Mapping skills are required

  • Well-honed consulting skills enabling the individual to work with others to elicit information, to think objectively and analytically and to influence outcomes positively

  • 5+ years professional work experience in project management / process engineering /process modeling

  • Experienced in business analytics or related field

  • Think objectively and analytically and able to influence outcomes positively

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at once, navigate organizational hierarchies and communicate effectively

  • Ability to present to peers and leadership clearly and concisely, creating presentations and summaries of process engineering initiatives and recommendations to influence change

  • Excellent leadership skills including ability to think strategically, develop vision, and execute plan

  • Fact-based problem solver with the ability to evaluate alternative courses of action and make sound management decisions

  • Experience with cross-functional initiatives, with a high degree of complexity

  • Highly collaborative experience working with cross-functional initiatives, with high complexity to deliver a defined set of outcomes and objectives

  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, technical, financial, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to develop trusting working partnerships with internal and external business and technology partners

  • Ability to be proactive and effect change, influence, persuade, and collaborate with operational areas with various levels of experience and responsibility

  • Strong managerial skills and ability to drive results through a team

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and execute with limited information and ambiguity

  • Leverage data insights, experience and knowledge of business needs to identify or develop business and technical solutions, engage technology through appropriate channels to solve problems

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Effective under pressure

  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative group

  • Ability to communicate status both written and oral

  • Proficient in Sharepoint, MS Excel, MS Visio, Confluence

  • Understanding of key Cigna Pharmacy/Core Solutions financial concepts
