Job Description: 

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining a division-wide, IATF16949 and ISO9001 compliant business management system, to assure that all products manufactured meet customer and company specifications. This role is responsible for the ongoing analytical assessment of all materials, certification of their performance to customers, management of the IATF program and related Quality Control program and staff.

  • Domain knowledge in analytical chemistry is desirable.
  • Minimum of five years of IATF 16949 experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • At least five years experience leading the QA/QC function in a laboratory environment is desired.
  • Expert skills in Minitab is desired.

Job Requirements: Quality Assurance Manager

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional responsibilities as assigned)
  • Ensures that product quality is maintained through application of analytical test protocols on constituent materials.

Education

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is desired.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Domain knowledge in analytical chemistry is desirable.
  • Minimum of five years of IATF 16949 experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • At least five years experience leading the QA/QC function in a laboratory environment is desired.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of quality technicians and engineers while balancing the needs of production/process support.
  • Expert skills in Minitab is desired.
  • Leads the process of inspection of products to proactively disposition product to ensure qualified materials are available to production.
  • Ensure plans, programs and analytical chemistry capabilities are linked with and support the overall objectives of the Quality organization.
  • Identifies and reports quality problems or trends based on SPC data.
  • Recommends or implements the appropriate corrective action to quality problems, with the aid of Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, Purchasing, etc.
  • Apply problem solving techniques (8D, 5-Why, FMEA, GR&R, etc.) and advanced statistical methods.
  • Supports the ongoing implementation and continuous improvements to ERP system.
  • Reviews all documentation related to product quality, such as test procedures and operation sheets, and approves as appropriate to ensure product quality.
  • Generates or implements defect-reduction activities.
  • Writes necessary quality plans, PPAP's, procedures, work instructions and related quality system documentation.
  • Is the liaison with R&D for new produced implementation, current modifications and analytical procedure and equipment developments.
