Job Summary:

Isoclima Specialty Glass LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and HR Coordinator to join our team at the Blairsville, PA manufacturing plant. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees while supporting various HR functions. The Safety and HR Coordinator will report directly to the VP of HR, Ashley Carvalho, and will work closely with the management team to foster a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

SafetynManagement:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing safety education.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including OSHA logs and safety meeting minutes.
  • Lead the plant's safety committee and facilitate regular safety meetings.

Human Resources:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Assist in the administration of employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Support HR initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement, and development programs.
  • Assist in the handling of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Stay current with changes in safety regulations and HR best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety and human resources roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential informat on with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Certification in HR (PHR/SPHR) or safety (CSP) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

This position is based at our Blairsville, PA manufacturing plant and requires onsite presence.

May require occasional travel to other Isoclima facilities or for professional development.
