The Field Engineer will provide FANUC America customers with onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming or maintenance services for FANUC robots and related system peripheral equipment. The Engineer will work at one of our service centers or remote home office to coordinate activities and provide hotline phone support in between scheduled service calls. The Engineer must be able to travel within their respective regions to a customer site when scheduled or at a moment’s notice to perform troubleshooting and repair functions on our robots and provide a service report at completion. Â

Primary responsibilities will include:Â

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC Robots and controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment

  • Discuss, diagnose, document, and repair robot operational and process problems as reported by the customer or internal service hotline

  • Provide daily reports to the Service Supervisor to update status and availability

  • Complete and provide a Field Service report for each assignment to the customer and FANUC Headquarters

  • 80%-90% travel within a respective region on a scheduled or moment’s notice, overnight travel will vary depending on location

    Ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and education: Â

  • High School diploma or GED requiredÂ

  • Associate's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent technical education, or relevant experience preferred

  • Minimum of three years of experience working in robotics, automation, or manufacturing environment preferred

  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to drive throughout the organizations service area for business as required

  • Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation

  • Knowledge of FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment preferred

  • Experience with FANUC application software and programming preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

  • Ability to do work in various industrial environments

  • Travel within a respective region by auto/or air for at least 5 hours at a time; air travel as needed

    The salary range for this position is 62,000 - 88,000, salary will be reviewed and adjusted according to geographic location.
