Intel Cloud Software Engineer - IAM in Bismarck, North Dakota

Job Description

Are you interested in creating software services for an industry-leading developer cloud? The Intel cloud services team within the Software and Advanced Technology Group (SATG) is developing and shaping the way people think about computing by focusing on developers, ecosystem partners, and academia. We are redefining the space with cutting-edge cloud services which leverage our portfolio of industry-leading SW and HW. The foundational services team owns services and systems that help with our customer onboarding including registration, authentication and authorizations.

As a Cloud Software Engineer - IAM, you will:

  • Design and develop including the delivery of Identity and Access Management solutions and capabilities for B2B and B2C users for the portal.

  • Provide support to global operational and incident escalations in a time sensitive manner.

  • Comprehensive expertise in designing, configuring, implementing, maintaining, and documenting all aspects of IAM applications, encompassing robust identity and access solutions. Proficient in utilizing tools for authorization, authentication, account management (creation, onboarding, offboarding), user provisioning, de-provisioning, single sign-on, federated identities, and multi-factor authentication.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in designing, engineering, and upholding global IAM services and solutions in alignment with company best practices and industry frameworks.

  • An ideal candidate would exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience -OR- a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ year of experience in:

4+ years' experience in below areas:

  • Possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in various facets of identity and access management, encompassing authentication, authorization, and related areas.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard security concepts and protocols like SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OIDC, and RBAC is advantageous.

  • Hands on experience with Azure AD, AWS Cognito etc.

  • Strong development capabilities, particularly in Go or Python are preferred.

  • 3+ years' experience with Kubernetes and management of resources using Helm.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with Okta

  • Programming languages (Go, Python, etc.)

  • Infrastructure as code (Ansible).

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $186,552.00-$279,772.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
