ReadiTech Engineering, Bismarck, is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a full time position.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated team member for the position of Administrative/Technical Project Assistant. The Administrative/Technical Project Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and technical support to the engineering team including but not limited to project managers, right-of-way, and all other team members as needed. Additionally, the position is responsible for performing routine and complex administrative and technical duties.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist project managers and others as needed with project related tasks
  • Assist with Right of Way tasks
  • Establish positive relationships with internal and external clients
  • Create, acquire, and file easements as required
  • Comply with local and state laws
  • Assist field staff as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Coordinate internal/external events
  • Process incoming/outgoing mail, UPS and FedEx
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies
  • Arrange meetings, tasks, travel as needed
  • Utilize Microsoft Office software as well as other software and equipment
  • Utilize effective written and oral communication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of administrative support techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of aerial, underground, copper, fiber and substructure design
  • Knowledge and understanding of telephone industry standards, local telecom practices and procedures, local city, state, and government rules and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience in Telecommunications Outside Plant Construction projects
  • Knowledge and understanding to follow company established standard drafting procedures for file structure and standard drawing procedures for projects
  • Skill in Microsoft Office software as well as other software and equipment to prepare and revise technical drawings using company established standard procedures
  • Skill in oral and written communication
  • Skill to use tact, discretion, and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive situations and concerned property owners
  • Skill to process technical data and legal requirements regarding right-of-way issues
  • Ability to exercise independent thinking, creativity, and initiative
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate well with a positive and friendly manner both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrate the ability to accept responsibility for and work under occasional stressful situations with frequent interruptions
  • Demonstrate desire to learn new skills as technologies change

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in a related field, Associates degree in related field and/or two (2) years of applicable work experience
  • Office suite software (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehicles
  • Notary Public license preferred
