Guardian & Protective Services Accounting Clerk in Bismarck, North Dakota

The Guardian and Protective Services Accounting Clerk gathers and confirms information regarding a client's financial assets, insurance and State and Federal benefits. The Accounting Clerk is an important member of the financial team working to ensure a client's needs are met.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uphold all agency policies, HIPAA and fiduciary expectations in performing the job.
  • Warmly answer and make calls to clients, agencies, supportive services, and financial institutions and maintain positive and professional working relationships with peers.
  • Use provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related activity in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for clients/families as requested.
  • Enter financial information in EMS such as assets, liabilities, and AutoPays.
  • Reconcile monthly and/or quarterly Checking, Savings, Resident Trust, Investment and Life Insurance accounts/policies in EMS.
  • Assist with gathering information for completion of Medicaid, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), and housing applications and reviews.
  • Research and verify new clients assets and liabilities.
  • Notify Social Security, Social Services, financial entities/benefit providers/insurers, of changes in a clients personal information or status change.
  • Scan pertinent documents into a clients electronic record.
