Overview
To provide leadership of direct reports on shift in order to meet all of our SQCDM KPIs across Logistics in the Bournville Manufacturing site
Responsibilities
Accountable for Logistics asset performance & people on shift – SQCDM
Responsible for morale, conduct & behaviour of team
Ensure OTIF delivery to our distribution centres across the network
Where issues with our distribution network risk production in Bournville, responsible as the senior lead for site between 3PL’s, central Logistics team and DC’s to mitigate impact to output
Decision maker for escalations from shift team and responsible for escalating to Senior Shift Lead anything that cannot be resolved within area.
Ensure safety of team, quality & food safety of products and drive safety & quality improvements within area shift team
Ensure compliance to DMS1/2 on shift, key contributor to DMS3 escalating as appropriate
Drive IL6S on shift and be accountable for AM step delivery for own area
Ensure timely response to breakdowns and compliance to PM tasks within area on shift
Develop operators & technicians through delivery of objectives & personal development plans
Complete clear shift reports & handovers for area, setting next shift up for success
Facilitate RCAs on shift for triggered losses, identifying and delivering/supportingpreventative measures
Facilitate SGAs to drive improvements
Complete investigations for safety and food safety incidents
Work with days-based teams to drive long term improvements
Own absence management including scheduling and hearing stage review meetings, ensuring RTW completed
Leads, coaches and develops the Logistics Shift Coaches to ensure the highest level of capability
Develop training plan and ensure delivery of training to operators to ensure flexibility within area
Champions own model/strategic line/area to drive GE improvements
Workforce planning for own shift and others
Working with trade union representatives to resolve challenging situations
Handling and conducting investigations re HSE, incidents, ER
Organise, support and deliver Line Briefings and other communications
Develop and implement shift line/area engagement improvement plans, measured through engagement survey
Step up to provide cover for Senior Shift Lead when required
What you’ll bring:
Proven track record of successfully managing teams of people in a Logistics/ Manufacturing environment
Role model for conduct and behaviour - GMP, safety, professional conduct, integrity
Effective communicator both verbal and written
Ability to build and retain relationships at all levels and across all departments
Understanding of IL6S and how to implement across the shifts
Confident decision maker
Ability to think on their feet
Labour planning experience
Presence to confidently take control of situations requiring decisions impacting production
Experience of working with Trade Unions
Previous experience of handling investigations and disciplinaries
Experience of conducting RCA’s and implementing actions from finding
The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
