Cornerstone onDemand RVP, Content Sales in Birmingham, Alabama

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Vice President (RVP) of Content Sales to join our Americas Growth team at Cornerstone OnDemand. In this pivotal role, the RVP will manage a team of content specialists, driving sales initiatives that grow CSOD's content business. As a key member of the growth leadership team, the RVP will be instrumental in shaping GTM strategy, fostering a culture of success, and delivering impactful results. This position offers the opportunity to be at the leading edge of CSOD's growth, leveraging innovative solutions and cross-product alignments, along with a deep understanding of the content landscape, to expand our market share and influence within the industry.

In this role you will...

  • Actively pursue new logo business and upsell and cross-sell within existing accounts to capture new market share for our content business, driving outcomes and balancing direct sales initiatives with strategic team oversight in this overlay role.

  • Attract, assess, and develop top sales talent and subject matter experts, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement within our Growth team.

  • Provide strategic insights and direction as part of the Growth Team, influencing the overarching strategy and direction for the content business.

  • Strategically leapfrog competitors by identifying and exploiting unique market opportunities, delivering innovative content solutions, and executing a forward-thinking sales strategy that positions our content business as the industry frontrunner.

  • Oversee daily and weekly activities to ensure robust pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and above-quota sales results, aligning with broader business goals.

  • Collaborate with internal enablement teams to optimize sales efforts and deliver comprehensive solutions, achieving content business objectives through a unified approach.

  • Champion transformational sales strategies and value selling, integrating our content solutions with our platforms to meet customer objectives and create significant business impact across CSOD.

  • Leverage industry knowledge and competitive insights to effectively position CSOD solutions, translating client needs into strategic opportunities for the content business.

  • Guide the sales organization with data-driven decision-making, growing the business through strategic sales channels and client-centered solutions.

  • Identify and capitalize on whitespace opportunities to further penetrate and expand our footprint in the content business arena.

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

  • A proven track record in driving business transformation through strategic sales initiatives, aligning product offerings with evolving market needs and customer digital transformation journeys.

  • Track record of successful sales experience in HCM, content or technology sales.

  • Demonstrated experience leading successful sales teams in technology or HCM sales to above-quota performance through direct management or team-based deal management.

  • Experience managing large complex sales cycles that last six months or longer.

  • Experience managing remote teams to exceed company sales quotas.

  • Strong desire to develop sales representatives in all areas of sales execution.

  • Approach to deal management and sales representative coaching that relies on a strong strategic mindset with the ability and tendency to think several steps ahead in a complex sales cycle.

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to enlist internal and external resources to accomplish your goals.

  • Presentation and communication skills that create compelling conversations with technical and non-technical executives.
