Job Description

One of TEKsystems' clients, a financial services company based in the Southeast, is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team. Currently, the team consists of 5 engineers plus the manager.

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 8 years of solid networking experience with Cisco routers and switches. The department has several projects in-flight and this candidate would be a part of at least 2 of the following projects -- one is an ACI cleanup project, another is a Fortigate SDWan implementation and also a Cisco WebEx migration. It would be valuable for the network engineer to be solid with automation, specifically scripting with Python, Ansible, CI/CD, etc. It would be a plus if the engineer had an understanding of voice network infrastructure as well.

Minimum 8 years of data communications experience in a Cisco environment - financial services experience preferred

Recognize the importance of customer focus and/or servicing the need of the end-user to meet the required demands of our products and services

Exhibit a focus on achieving results and reaching goals

Ability to communicate technical and network-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff

CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, or other equivalent certification

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Bachelor’s Degree in network administration, computer science, or information technology preferred

Technical Skills:

TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ACL, NAT, Policy Based Routing, SDWAN, QoS, high availability, VoIP, Wireless, DHCP, DNS
