Job Description:

At Regions, the Associate Relations Business Partner administers programs designed to establish and maintain effective associate relations through the uniform and equitable application of policies and procedures. This position is responsible for resolving associate relations matters and acts as a resource and advisor to associates and managers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports the Office of Associate Conduct in conducting associate relations investigations and the resolution of ongoing associate relations issues, such as complaints, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans

  • Works collaboratively with associates and department leadership in carrying out their responsibilities on associate relations matters

  • Effectively handles and resolves associate complaints and grievances

  • Recommends appropriate actions to correct problems including assisting and/or advising management in the formal discipline or termination of associates

  • Participates in exit interviews and grievance procedures

  • Represents Regions at various employment hearings (mediation, wage/hour, equal employment, etc.)

  • Exercises sound judgment and expertise within broadly defined policies and procedures

  • Documents all associate relations matters as appropriate for the situation in accordance with legal compliance and organizational policies and procedures

  • Maintains accurate, timely, and required documentation of activities to ensure quality associate relations records and metrics

  • Stays current on employment law, as well as employment trends; Proactively researches information to ensure compliance, provide appropriate consultation

  • May provide guidance and direction to less experienced associate conduct staff

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Six (6) years' experience working in Human Resources or a related field

  • Position may require limited travel

The OAC ARBP will provide balanced consultation and effective solutions on associate conduct matters. All efforts should have the spirit and intent to drive Regions’ strategic priorities, protect our stakeholders, promote a healthy environment and Make Life Better for our associates, customers, and shareholders. All actions will support the Bank’s strategic imperatives to include Build the Best Team, Enhance Risk Management, and Strengthen Financial Performance.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform effectively the duties of the second line of defense (ROA) by identifying and mitigating all risks associated with associate conduct

  • Partner with various business units to provide effective solutions that drive strategic priorities through the lens of associate conduct

  • Explore and analyze organizational health metrics to include (not limited to) trends around case/issue history, associate engagement, turnover, performance, and other key risk indicators.

  • Identify and escalate opportunities for continuous improvement of business practices that create potential risk for the organization.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

This role can work remote within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with a preference for Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Dallas, New Orleans, Little Rock, St. Louis, and Tampa.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
