Broome-Tioga BOCES Speech Language Pathologist (4 Positions) in Binghamton, New York

Commencing September 2024

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech therapy services to students with disabilities ages 5-21 in a center-based school setting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide both direct and consultative services to students related to student specific IEP goals

  • Utilize evidence-based strategies and methods to meet diverse student needs

  • Work closely and collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure they understand the needs of the student and how they can support these needs in the classroom

  • Accurately complete all paperwork related to provided services in a timely manner as mandated by New York State and school policies and procedure

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NYS Certification in the area of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Language Disabilities. NYS licensed and ASHA certification preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of augmentative communication devices.

  • ASHA certification preferred.

  • Experience with developmental disabilities, including autism preferred.

  • A commitment to meeting the needs of every student.

  • A strong belief that all students can succeed
