Description

The YMCA of Broome County is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. If you are a skilled Maintenance Technician with a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance

  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

  • Communicate effectively with team members and management

Salary:

$16.00 per hour

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Proven experience (minimum of one year) in the maintenance field

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and pool care

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
