Description

The YMCA of Broome County is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Housing Director in our supportive housing program. The Assistant Housing Director will work closely with the Housing Director to ensure the smooth operation of our housing program and provide support and assistance to our residents. You will work closely with residents to assess their needs, develop individualized service plans, and connect them with resources to help them achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments to determine client needs and eligibility for services

  • Develop and implement individualized service plans for clients

  • Provide ongoing case management services to clients, including regular check-ins and goal setting

  • Connect clients with community resources, including housing, employment, healthcare, and education

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation

  • Collaborate with other service providers and community organizations to ensure clients receive comprehensive support

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities

$19.00 per hour

8:30am-5:00pm

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Social Work or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or in a related field

  • Knowledge of community resources and services

  • Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
