Budget Title: Lead Programmer/Analyst (SL-3)

Salary: $57,623

The State University of New York at Binghamton (Binghamton, NY) seeks an Advanced Innovation Software Developer to be responsible for the rapid development of sophisticated tools, applications, and workflows to better and more efficiently serve the Binghamton University campus community. Contribute to and maintain a sizable catalog of Open Source software which serves as the backbone of many of Binghamton's core applications and business processes. Responsible for building and supporting Web Applications, creating and consuming RESTful Web APIs, and developing/supporting various complex workflows. Report to the Director of Innovations and Research Computing Support, and will work closely with Administrative and Academic departments, the campus community, and other key groups/staff members within Information Technology Services (ITS). Must be able to maintain data confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, etc.).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Sciences, or a related field

  • One year of coding experience in a variety of different languages and frameworks including C# /.Net /MVC, JavaScript, HTML/CSS/Bootstrap, GitHub, SQL/NoSQL

  • Experience with the implementation & integration of ReCAPTCHA

  • Experience with the implementation & integration of mailing system (SMTP) with > 1000 e-mails sent

  • Experience with the implementation & integration of language options

  • Experience publishing to web and managing applications and servers

  • Overall excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working with a wide variety of individuals including coworkers, outside collaborators, and end users
