Job Description

Core Responsibilities

As Technical Writer, you will be the critical link between the training organization and the workforce securing that documentation and best practices are available when needed in an easy and accessible way. This includes making sure that the documentation layout and content are of the best possible quality to support the training processes lifting the production management. More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for updated, accurate and understandable Standard Work documentation and job training manuals meaning creation, revision, translation (Danish - English), maintenance, uploading, administration and sharing

  • Collaborate closely with Global Job Trainers, Process Owners (Engineering, Production, etc.) and other Technical Writers to create, align and finalize versions of documentation

  • Work as an ambassador and role model for Standard Work and process understanding in the LEGO Group

  • Work with other team members to support the team´s KPI and reach the goals of the training organization

Play your part in our team succeeding

You will join the Moulding Academy & Education (MA&E) team leading the local Plastic Maker Education agenda and training the global manufacturing platform. In the team, we work to develop the needed functional expertise through a strong and competent training organization to support globalization, scalability and sustainability towards new and existing employees. In this position, you will therefore be in daily contact with Global Job Trainers and other key stakeholders at our factories worldwide to update processes, align standards, etc.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate brings technical experience as Plastic Maker, Production Technician, Automation Technician or equivalent bringing shopfloor knowledge. Furthermore, you come with strong written and verbal communication capabilities in both Danish and English. In addition, you have:

  • Proven experience with writing technical and training documentation and manuals

  • Solid understanding of process thinking, building and management

  • Flexible, service-oriented and eager to support, train and coach colleagues making sure that we all succeed together

  • Structured, systematic and proactive working approach

  • High School as minimum educational level with strong language (Danish-English), translation and proofreading capabilities

  • Advanced IT user including MS Office

  • Ability to work daily on-site in Billund, Denmark (sometimes also support for evening and weekend shifts, if needed)
