Job Description

Are you passionate about child online safety and wellbeing?

Join us and help drive the implementation of our Responsible Engagement with Children strategy within our Kids digital portfolio. The safety and wellbeing of children is a fundamental component of every LEGO ® touchpoint and digital experience (web, app, games, and beyond)! In this role, you will work cross-functionally to integrate and operationalize child safety and wellbeing policies and practices into our Kids digital portfolio, while also partnering with relevant teams on the shaping of those policies and practices.

Core Responsibilities

  • First and foremost, deep subject matter expertise: as a thought leader who intimately understands digital child safety, wellbeing and empowerment, you will help the LEGO Group deliver best-in-class experiences within the space of Responsible Engagement with Children. You will share best practices and market examples internally and would feel comfortable defending the LEGO Group’s child safety standards in a conversation with external partners.

  • Secondly, teamwork: Launching and evolving responsible digital experiences takes collaboration. You will partner and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Content, Social Responsibility, Government & Public Affairs, Legal, and Compliance, encouraging alignment to achieve a shared vision and performance metrics.

  • Finally, strategy & execution: Together with Content and Product teams, you will help concept and support implementation of strategic campaigns and skill-building efforts for children within our Kids digital portfolio that tie into Responsible Engagement and Digital Empowerment priorities.

Play your part in our team succeeding

The Kids Engagement team is responsible for understanding children as an audience, setting and activating strategies (ecosystem, membership, engagement), and guiding cross-functional team execution to deliver value to children. This is an important and meaningful role that will have a lot of interaction across the LEGO Group!

Do you have what it takes?

  • Expert-level understanding of digital child safety and responsible digital engagement with kids, including the challenges and possibilities with this field. Policy making experience a plus.

  • Passion for child safety & wellbeing, empowerment, and good digital citizenship, as well as delivering impactful engagement and skill-building programs for children.

  • Experience in the digital space working on web / app experiences, ideally for kids, with an understanding of digital product development, content & marketing strategy, and legal/policy considerations.

  • Excellent collaboration skills with proven ability to lead through influence (rather than direct control and ownership).

  • Strong personal organization skills and project management experience

  • A flexible, resilient, playful mindset with a can-do, self-starter attitude to make new things happen.
