Job Description

Are you interested in creating and producing innovative and engaging illustrations and graphical content that empowers playful learning for children? Then this is an outstanding opportunity to join the LEGO Education organization in the LEGO Group.

We do not offer relocation for this position.

Core Responsibilities

As an Illustrator/Graphic Content Creator, you will be responsible for creating and producing illustrations and graphical content across printed and digital material, that inspires, clearly communicates, and guides children through playful learning experiences in engaging and age-appropriate ways.

You will be responsible for creating and producing illustrations and graphical learning content, which will be part of e.g. in-box material. This visual content will be informed by defined learning outcomes prescribed by the Learning Design Manager and Concept & Design Lead. You will design the graphical learning prompts needed to ensure children can navigate playful learning experiences, be motivated, and engaged and understand the learning concepts connected to model building activities.

Today, building on this history with products like LEGO SPIKE Prime™, LEGO SPIKE Essential™, LEGO BOOST™, and LEGO HIDDEN SIDE™. Creating these new types of learning and play opportunities for children requires a highly innovative, collaborative, and iterative mindset and approach. Our team at LEGO® Education builds the technology that enables these types of creative, playful, and impactful learning experiences for children around the world. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Visual Content Creator to join our team that designs and develops our STEAM learning products.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate brings a relevant educational Design background and 4+ years of experience creating and producing illustrations and graphical content across physical and digital media. You show well-documented hands-on experience producing world class graphical/visual (children’s) content, a solid understanding of children’s capabilities, and a keen interest for learning. You are a highly skilled illustrator and graphical resource that can effectively and quickly sketch out concepts as well as produce final production ready visual material.

As a person, you are a strong planner that takes responsibility of documenting the visual “recipe” as it materializes, ensuring that it can be scaled across multiple products. You manage the execution of visual learning content from design to publication, ensuring that deadlines and alignment with the overall content strategy is met. In addition, we expect that you:

  • Have excellent partner and stakeholder management skills ensuring sparring and smooth collaboration with relevant internal colleagues as well as teams across the wider LEGO Group.

  • Can manage your own workstreams and tasks - on time and on budget.

  • Are proactive and pragmatic - lead by example, not afraid of hands-on execution of the work needed.

  • Are positive with a constructive mindset ensuring you always keep your eye on the ball and on the end goal.

  • You are comfortable with delivering and receiving direct and candid feedback.

Finally, you thrive in a high-paced and constantly evolving environment. You bring outstanding communication and presentation skills as well as strong storyteller capabilities. You have an unpackable toolbox and master the visualization skills necessary to tell an engaging story when presenting work.

The ideal candidate will have a passion and interest for learning and children’s education. Experience working within the learning space is a definite plus.
