Core Responsibilities

As part of the Cloud Enablement (CE) team, the Cloud Engineer will be a central player in building the core cloud capabilities the company needs to ensure a secure and cost-efficient cloud experience for all our developers. Develop and maintain the cloud landing zones, core accounts, infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code in both AWS and Azure. As well as API integration layer.

  • Expand the security and compliance in the cloud.

  • Be a part of the DevOps Operating model, ensuring quality, and implementing test-based development and advocating for cloud cost governance and awareness.

  • React to support requests or incidents during business hours, collaborating with the team to build proactive measures and automation.

The team is a core team for the LEGO Group, providing foundational capabilities for the entire organization and accelerating their adoption of cloud. We are supporting hundreds of LEGO engineers, making sure the newest technologies in the cloud space are available for them in a secure, conforming, and efficient manner. We are also responsible for integrating our services to the internal Developer Portal, to provide product teams with an innovative self-service DevOps experience.

The team is based at the brand-new LEGO Campus in Billund and our new Copenhagen office. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, and flexible.

Do you have what it takes?

The preferred candidate has a few years’ experience in serverless development within Azure and/or AWS (functions, serviceBus, lambdas, eventBridge), and with Azure Policies and Landing Zones. We expect the right candidate to have a good understanding of event-driven microservice architecture and experienced in building, deploying and operating APIs.

Experienced in Python, including clean-code principles, and Terraform, together with Frontend/fullstack development experience using React, CSS, NodeJS. Experience in agile ways of working is encouraged.

To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:

  • Graduation in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.

  • One or more CI/CD tool such as Github, GitLab or ADO.

  • With NoSQL such as Cosmos and/or DynamoDB.

  • A growth mindset and a willingness to develop as a professional.

  • A DevOps mentality - “You build it. You run it”.

Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.
