Position Summary

The Training Coordinator ensures ongoing development of all employees, reflecting the strategic priorities of the Credit Union. The Training Coordinator is responsible for working with the Training Director and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, develop, deliver, evaluate and maintain blended training programs to enable new and existing employees to excel in their roles. Various modes of delivery are expected including web-based, video, classroom and on-site at the Credit Union’s branches.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Design, develop, and facilitate training programs for the Credit Union. Act as a resource for staff on Credit Union procedures.

Create and maintain a frontline training program focused on enhancing the skills necessary to build relationships within a service-to-sales environment.

Create training activities for interactive participation.

In conjunction with the Training Director, create and maintain training materials to meet the Credit Union’s training needs through the use of multimedia visual aids, webinars, online modules, videos, reference guides, assessments, trainers' guides, etc.

Implement professional development programs to foster employee growth.

In conjunction with the Training Director, administer and maintain the Credit Union's Learning Management System and database of training vendors and resources.

Investigate and research available training methods and procedures to identify new or improved training methods as well as new or improved content materials.

Assess the Credit Union’s training needs with input from managers, member satisfaction surveys, employee assessment surveys, and other appropriate sources.

Assist department managers with employee development. Visit all branch locations to develop community relationships and assess any training needs.

Conduct training sessions for new employees in all areas of the Credit Union.

Conduct seminars and workshops on new products, policies, and procedures for all staff.

Maintains accurate training records and documentation.

Prepare or coordinate development of procedural manuals used in conjunction with training needs.

Evaluate outsourced programs and/or vendors to augment training internally. Coordinate and utilize external training programs and products that enhance the Credit Union’s training program.

Promote Valley’s Service Standards.

Perform any additional duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Ability to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email software and use of the Internet. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to deal calmly and professionally with diverse personalities and cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous financial and training experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, as necessary.
