CITY OF BILLINGS MOBILE RECREATION STAFF in BILLINGS, Montana

Mobile Recreation Staff - $13.00 - $15.00 per hour - Four (4) Positions Available. Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. June 3, 2024 through August 1, 2024. Position runs from late May through early August (can be later than early August if desired). Must meet minimum age requirement. Mobile Recreation Staff are responsible for providing a positive and safe environment for children during Rec2U programming, which offers free activities at a variety of parks in the Billings area targeting underserved youth. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, energetic personalities, and the ability to work closely and patiently with children as well as adults while positively representing the City of Billings and the Parks and Recreation Department. Applicants are required to be leaders and must be excellent role models for children. Mobile Recreation Staff are required to facilitate activities and engage children in activities ranging from arts and crafts to sports and yard games, and anything in between. Staff will work directly under the supervision of the Mobile Recreation Intern/Coordinator to provide these activities and supervise youth utilizing Rec2U programming. Previous experience with children's programs desired. First Aid and CPR certifications are required for this position. The Recreation Department will provide training to staff who need to update their certificates. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Equal opportunity employer.
