    POSITION

    In this role, the Construction Manager provides construction administration management and other project support through all phases of projects, including water/wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and other heavy civil work. When necessary, the manager will provide on-site progress monitoring and lead project management efforts during construction. These responsibilities include:

  • Assist or act as project manager during the construction phase of the project.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to convey project updates and address inquiries or issues.

  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients, facilitate construction meetings, review materials submittals, review and respond to Requests For information (RFIs), review change order requests, tracki quantities, and review payment applications from the contractor.

  • Conduct on-site observation or oversee others to monitor construction progress, quality, and general compliance with design plans and specifications.

  • Coordinate quality control oversight and testing.

  • Perform constructability reviews of projects in design.

  • Working cross-functionally with senior engineers and project managers to prepare design plans, specifications, and construction documents.

    YOUR STRENGTHS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology

  • Minimum of 4+ years construction project management experience

  • Able to provide in-person construction oversite for the duration of the project and at times in remote locations weekly or for longer assignments

  • Experience with construction materials testing and quality assurance preferred

  • Attention to detail

  • Cost Estimating

  • Strong communication, written and verbal

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Conflict resolution

  • Design experience

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable record for travel
