Job Description Summary

The core business of Production Technologies department is to cooperate with Global Supply Chain organization to reach and maintain product delivery goal. In role of Lead Design/Product Engineer you will be involved into MRB assessment process, developing deep knowledge about the product and about processes leading to its creation. Based on that knowledge as well as knowledge developed through experiences You will be performing activities, solving problems as well as leading cross-functional collaboration with different company departments, with aim to improve design and procedures, enhance manufacturability and quality of produced components.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • apply sound engineering principles and adhere to business standards, practices, procedures

  • contribute to execution of safety-quality-delivery-cost milestones related to in-service products given in ownership

  • provide technical support to Material Review Board management by means of providing instructions for non-conforming components

  • assessment and substantiation of non-conformances, proper document them, setting requirements for manufacturing validation processes. Definition and delivery of repair procedures, support to Process Improvement and DPU reduction projects. Definition and substantiation of Component Engineering Change

  • proactively cooperate with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers and supplier’s representative on activities improving design, solving manufacturability issues, and simplifying production

  • provide technical support to Source Substantiation (VT) activities and concurring with suppliers

  • propose cost out ideas and potential design changes improving manufacturability and/or cost of the product

  • prepare and lead technical Design Reviews with Design Authorities

  • provide timely communication on issues or developments,

  • contribute to investigations and root cause analyses adopting problem solving methodology

  • build and participate in team addressing different initiatives and generic topics

Required Qualifications

  • Master degree in Mechanical /Aeronautical/Material Engineering

  • Upper intermediate (B2) spoken and written English

  • practical engineering attitude based on knowledge foundations of mechanics and construction analysis

  • ability of transforming material strength theories into practical application in software and hand calculations

  • effective in problem identification and defining condition for their solution

  • ability to lead initiatives of minor scope and impact

  • experience with GD&T, drawings and technical documentation

  • experience with CAD software

  • experience with FEA method and software
