CREDIT ANALYST I

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Credit Analyst assists Entertainment Relationship Managers and Credit Product Officers with structuring, underwriting, closing, and managing middle market cash flow / leveraged loans for film, music, and sports as well as other sectors of the entertainment industry through research, analysis, and coordination of accurate documentation.

What you will do

  • Prepares credit analysis for new and existing commercial loans and provides the necessary documentation and financial facts for Credit Product Officers to analyze, evaluate, and determine appropriate credit structure and terms for potential and existing borrowers.

  • Provides analytical functions relating to due diligence, document processing, and financial statements analyses related to transactions and credit approval. Prepares summary documenting factual analysis and supporting information for credit decision recommendations.

  • Monitors for receipt, and analyzes and evaluates documents surrounding credits. This may include financial statements for the company, and/or guarantors, cash flow, collateral, covenants, agings, credit reports, etc. to identify strengths and weaknesses as pertaining to a borrower’s financial position.

  • This is an entry-level position responsible for assisting Credit Officers under direct supervision by providing analytical support relating to due diligence, document processing, and financial/statistical analyses related to transactions, credit approval and ongoing monitoring of new and existing transactions.

  • Enters financial statements and related information to financial spreadsheets software programs for analysis.

  • Analyzes all financial data related to new and existing loans. Spreads financial statements as necessary.

  • Provides information to Credit Officers and offers opinions concerning client’s credit worthiness.

  • Prepares summary and/or credit approval reports documenting credit analysis and supporting information for credit decision recommendations.

  • At this level, entry positions are still developing credit analysis skills, and acquiring knowledge of basic principles of commercial lending, as well as appropriate banking laws, regulations and bank policies and practices.

Must-Have*

  • H.S. Diploma

  • Minimum 1 year of credit analysis or equivalent financial analysis experience required.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a banking or financial services environment required.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of credit, accounting, credit policy and financial statement analysis.

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills to present clear and precise recommendations based upon analysis for action on loans and loan treatments.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $25.93 - $41.43 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
