TASC Technical Services LLC Facilities Maintainence Technician in BETHPAGE, New York

Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine, equipment repair, electrical and lite custodial support. Conducts routine, daily inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery and heating systems. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments including escorting of contractors and town authorities. Duties & tasks are varied but standardized. May perform some more advanced functions. Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex questions to NGC site lead. High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or experience working in the facility maintenance career field as a Maintenance Technician. Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills Knowledge of general maintenance processes, methods and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and/or devices. Hands on experience with HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. CMMS experience, BMS, Maximo or similar data and building management systems Hands-on Maintenance experience with HAVC and Mechanical Systems Positive individual who is willing to expand current skill set, through schooling and training. Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with others at all levels of the organization. Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Able to solve problems. Willingness to meet customer needs. Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence High energy, results oriented, self-motivated / self-reliant, team player.
