Reference #: 3745 Description A Thermoform Production Supervisor at PAC Worldwide plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, overseeing the efficient and high-quality production of thermoformed packaging materials. In this challenging and dynamic position, the supervisor is responsible for coordinating and leading a team of packers and machine operators. Their primary objective is to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. *This position is for our 2nd shift - 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Management/Operations Ensure employees engage in safe behaviors and mitigate unsafe conditions throughout the department. Quality: 1) Ensure the production of quality products 2) The quick resolution of any customer quality issues through an aggressive 'Service Recovery Response' with customers and 3) The effective implementation of a Corrective Action Plan (CAR) to mitigate the quality issue with the underlying principle of continually improving our quality for our Sales Department and Customers. Manage the effective use of materials through all processes (Thermoformers, converting machines, etc.) to continually lower the cost of goods sold of our products while maintaining quality products. Assist the Planning Department in controlling inventory through accurate production data and inventory management procedures. Coordinates all manufacturing processes to meet established plant volume forecast, budget goals and department objectives. Responsible for execution of the Production Schedule within established scrap, labor, run rate, quality, specifications and safety parameters. Responsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping throughout all Production areas of the plant. Engage employees through continuous improvement to improve efficiency of operations. Utilize production resources to negotiate and secure necessary Production Department's timely delivery of consumables/supplies at lowest cost/highest value. Effectively utilize and engage the Production Supervisors and staff to maximize throughput and quality and lowest cost. Technical Effectively utilize PDS (and other systems) for key indicator measurement, root cause analysis and deployment of action plans with the goal of improving operational metrics. Utilize equipment knowledge to help guide technical resources in their efforts to maintain and improve equipment effectiveness. Engage Production employees in continuous improvement by leading and assisting CI Manager with Daily Continuous Improvement (DCI) Program as well as focused CI Projects. Responsible for assisting with fiscal year budgets for Production Department. Ensure government, environmental & regulatory compliance, including safety for Production Department. People/Development Selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel, with heavy emphasis on Supervisors. Utilize, and help facilitate the continual improvement, of the TWI Training program for production personnel to ensure we create and maintain high performance work teams. Establish and maintain strong working relationship with direct reports; identify training & development needs for direct reports. Be a resource for production employees for career and life coaching, development and opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes Production Leads Production personnel

Qualifications: Proven management experience in a high-volume employee department. Proven staffing training & development experience. Must possess excellent attention to detail, problem solving and follow-up with a strong sense of urgency and time management skills. Comprehension of general manufacturing concepts related to efficiency, quality, safety, workflow and mechanics. Lean manufacturing, Six-Sigma, or TQM administration experience is preferred. Knowledge of web-based film or paper converting, packaging, or printing experienc preferred.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in business/engineering or related field preferred. 3+ years of leadership experience with a 100+ employee in high volume 24/7 manufacturing required.

Language Skills: Must have ability to read, write, and speak in English. Must have the ability to understand complex reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups. Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is a plus.

Mathematical Skills: The position must be capable of performing all types of business related mathematics. Including, but not limited to, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, decimals, etc.

Reasoning Ability: Position requires the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in multiple types of situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and be willing to complete additional training. This includes being proficient in Microsoft Excel.
