Job Summary:

Akima Data Management (ADM) is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Project Manager to lead our DevSecOps initiative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of software projects, ensuring security best practices are integrated throughout development. Your role involves managing a highly technical team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, prioritizing features, and delivering secure technical solutions. If you have a strong background in both software development, operations, and security, along with excellent communication and leadership skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the Project Management Plan (PMP).

  • Allocate and oversee organizational resources.

  • Implement risk management and other controls. Establish and maintain a project risk registry.

  • Ensure adherence to project scope, performance, schedule, and cost.

  • Develop and maintain the Communication Management Plan.

  • Schedule and allocate resources for strategic upgrade recommendations related to application deployment tasks.

  • Create, manage, and control project schedules.

  • Define and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

  • Implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

  • Oversee the team and ensure that team responds promptly to all tickets.

  • Manage and oversee successful implementation of technical initiatives and projects.

  • Chair various types of meetings, including scrums, demos, and presentations.

  • Prepare and track meeting agendas, minutes, issues, risks, and action items.

  • Plan, track, and report project cost, schedule, and performance.

  • Provide O&M support and upgrades for the DevSecOps system.

  • Conduct training sessions for team members on DevSecOps practices, tools, and methodologies.

  • Lead and facilitate COI meetings.

  • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment among stakeholders and drive consensus on critical decisions related to DevSecOps implementation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5 + years) in technical project management.

  • Active PMP certification and status with PMI.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

  • Ability to lead highly diverse, technical teams and work with highly technical clients.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.

  • Federal contracting experience is preferred.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
