JOB SUMMARY

Marriott International, Inc.: Manager, Creative Services – Bethesda, MD

DUTIES:

• Provide photography and video support to a wide range of projects.

• Serves as lead photographer, videographer and multimedia editor for creative services.

• Acts as liaison to C-suite executives and board members for any photograph, video and live broadcasting needs.

• Has a clear understanding of the different photo and video styles needed throughout the company and works effectively with clients to update and refine the approach to those styles.

• Implements latest technologies and industry best practices and trends.

• Responsible for the departments digital photo assets, including the Company’s archived materials. Takes on image research projects when archived photography is needed for current projects. Responsible for storing and filing images and supports image research as needed.

• Supervises the Production Assistant, Creative Services.

• Trains other Creative Services team members in the technical aspects of lighting and camera operation for photography and videography.

• Oversees and execicutes large format printing, pre-press work.

• Maintains of the corporate photography studio and all equipment.

• Oversees all printing requests for the department.

• Schedules all photo/video projects and assignments and coordinate with the Executive Producer, Creative Services.

• Serves as videographer for internal production projects as assigned by Manager, Executive Producer.

• Updates and maintains equipment and software utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and other programs.

• Completes a variety of projects utilizing strong skills in multimedia-oriented computer programs (photo-retouching, AI Progams, Editing softwar, etc.) and printing. Digitally retouches and enhances photo work as necessary.

• Produces high-quality images and contributes to the success of various projects and events.

• Handle multiple projects of competing priority and complexity without compromising quality or brand standards.

• Work in a complex technical environment while collaborating with all levels of staff through executive management to produce high quality videography and photography.

• Communicate and Interact with clients, vendors, staff and C-Suite and Board executives and maintain composure in a highly pressurized environment

• Maintain current knowledge of filmmaking and photography technology and techniques. Stays abreast of technological advances that improve production processes and product.

• Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in New Media, Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Fine Arts or related field and 3 years of multimedia experience OR Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in New Media, Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Fine Arts or related field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible multimedia experience.

Other required experience:

• 1 year of experience liaising with C-Suite Executives, Board members, or other similarly senior / executive level stakeholders

Demonstrated knowledge of:

• Still and video camera equipment and settings

• Lighting of still and video environments

• Filmmaking and photography technology and techniques

• Video and photographic editing

Hybrid position; part time telecommuting authorized and up to 25% travel to domestic and international locations
