What You Will Do:
Plan, monitor, and evaluate QA processes, procedures and documentation for the CDE-R curation ensuring that specific milestones are met.
Communicate risks and changes to deliverables to the customer POC. If system issues or other emergencies delay QA, an implement measures/schedules to return to established schedules at the earliest possible time to ensure the needs are met and that satisfy our customer requirements.
Perform quality assurance (QA) on submitted CDEs and providing detailed feedback to submitters.
Refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data review and QA.
Ensure that CDE-R policies, procedures, and functionality support user and stakeholder needs, especially the NIH CDE Governance Committee.
Identify additional points of automation of data submission, QA, and curation processes
Providing recommendations to the NIH CDE Governance Committee for improving workflow.
Reviewing CDEs/Forms, before and after loading in the CDE-R, checking for completeness, quality, and consistency (both internal (within a project) and external (within NIH and other external sources)), according to established SOPs.
Answers queries from the quality staff on a day-to-day basis and escalating as necessary.
Records findings in the QA system, which will be for reporting to the customer, identifying risk areas, development of training and education programs and development/implementation of standardization within the organization.
Coordinates scheduled quality meetings with the QA and production staff.
Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, disease processes.
Assist with special projects as required.
Shall understand and abide by the organizations’ information security policy and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information assets.
What You Will Need:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of FIVE (5) years of knowledge and application of Quality Assurance principles in a large academic setting
Experience with automated systems for analyzing data and assigning relevant terminology concepts.
Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and policies.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
A Degree in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering
Data Quality Assurance certification, e.g., CDMP or equivalent.
Knowledge and/or experience of working at NIH NLM.
The annual salary range for this position is $65,900.00-$98,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
